Laphroaig 1960 Vintage Reserve 40 Year Old

A vintage release of Laphroaig distilled in 1960 and bottled as a 40 year old. Laphroaig this age is incredibly rare!

Distilled in 1960 and presented with a certificate from distillery manager Iain Henderson, the casks were matured for 40 years in warehouse #1. This is the first release from Oddbins and the far more limited of the two. 

This is bottle 129 of 300.

Springbank 50 Year Old

An incredible Springbank which we believe to be from the same iconic vintage as the Campbeltown 1919. Matured for 50 years and bottled in 1969.

Springbank is one of Scotland's many distilleries to be legitimately founded on the site of an illicit still. In 1837 the distillery was bought by the Mitchell family making this the longest family owned distillery in Scotland.  Springbank was one of the few distilleries to make it through the Campbeltown crash, caused by the prohibition and the great depression.Although the distillery was closed for seven years it managed to reopen. This has widely been attributed to the distillery focusing on quality not quantity. Now one of the last three distilleries in the region.

Never chill filtering or adding artificial colour, Springbanks continued passion for traditional whisky production is still evident. Springbank malt their own barley and bottle their own final product. The entire process is completed on one location (no other distillery can testify to that). This is a fantastic whisky from a fantastic distillery. 

There are no markings for volume or strength.

Glendronach 1968 25 Year Old / Air nippon Airways

There are a number of famous Glendronach's from 1968 and this is no different, This was a single cask bottled for Nippon Airways. 

The original Glendronach 25 year old from 1968 was described by Serge Valentin from Whisky Fun explains as 'A tremendous sherry monster', and scored it 90 pts.

A very rare bottling of Glenfiddich exclusively bottled for the distillery.

Distilled in 1968 matured in cask # 13147.

This is bottle number 161.

Glenlivet 1940 Sestante 45 Year Old

 Bottled by the Italian bottler Sestante, this is an incredible 45 year old Glenlivet, distilled way back in 1940.

Glenmorangie 1963

One of the rarest Glenmorangies , this stunning vintage was distilled in 1963 and matured for 22 years.

Matured in bourbon casks before a final finishing period in Oloroso sherry casks.

Distilled on 25th of Febuary 1971 and bottled in June 2010, this was fully matured in cask number 489 which was a Oloroso Sherry butt.

Distilled in December 1962 and bottled in February 1983 by Cadenhead's. 

Glen Grant 1954 Gordon and MacPhail Decanter

A spectacular vintage Glen Grant distilled on the 4th June 1954 and bottled on 26th August 1980.

Lagavulin 21 Year Old 2007 Release

A truly legendary Lagavulin released in 2007 within Diageo's Super Premium selection.

There are a number of famous Glendronach's from 1968 and this is no different. Originally bottled for the US market - a few went missing and were eventually discovered in a warehouse and sold here.

Glenglassaugh 1967 Signatory Vintage 31 Year Old / Silent Stills

Bottled by Signatory Vintage, this Glenglassaugh was distilled on 5th June 1967 and bottled from cask #2893 on the 5th June 1998.

This is bottle number 4 of 217.

Glenglassaug distillery was closed in 1986 but revived in 2008 and is currently producing.

The Silent Stills packs contain a 70cl bottle, 5cl miniature and replica bung.

Glendronach 1970 Signatory Vintage 20 Year Old​

Distilled on 18th of February 1970 and then matured for 20 years in Sherry Oak. Bottled July 1990.

Glenmorangie 1981 Sauternes Wood Finish

Another legendary Glenmorangie in this auction, limited to only 4,000 bottles.

This Glenmorangie was distilled in 1981 and spent the final two years of maturation in Chateau d'Yquem Sauternes casks.

Jim Murray gave this 95 out of 100 in his Whisky Bible, then the blind and expert pannel of Judges at the San Francisco Spirits Competition gave it a Gold Medal.
